Information You Submit
A name, location, or other query entered in a search box is sent to the third-party company that powers that tool. This site does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its handling of the query.
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to review and answer it. We do not share the message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Information
Routine server, analytics, and browser technologies can record technical facts when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring page or site, when supplied; and
- request dates and timestamps.

We do not sell personal information. Data may be handled by:
- search partners that process submitted queries;
- analytics providers that measure site use;

- law enforcement or another government body when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Security Practices
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for information under this site’s control. No internet transmission or connected storage system is fully secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and verification, a person may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, request correction, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. Requests can be sent through Contact Us. These choices apply to data under this site’s control, not records held by KPD, DCR, the Judiciary, or a third-party search provider. Hawaii government-record access is separately governed by the Uniform Information Practices Act, HRS chapter 92F.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A revised version becomes effective when posted here with its updated effective date.
